Kitesurfing Pro Riders to Compete at Main Beach

For the first time in its eight year history, the Professional Kiteboard Riders Association World Tour is coming down under. The event will be hosted at Narrowneck, Main Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland between the 5th - 12th December 2010.
As the final stop on the 2010 World Tour, the men's and women's World Champions will be crowned and it looks likely that Australia will see it's first ever World Champion take the title on home turf.
Visitors to the event can expect a visual spectacular as the worlds best kitesurfers compete for the wave, freestyle and race titles with a `surprise' event thrown in for the spectators enjoyment. The race event will see up to 200 kitesurfers on the water at one time making it the largest ever race event to be held in Australia. To compliment the main event, competitors will also battle it out in a number of display competitions such as the Big Air, Kite Cross, Best Trick and fastest Kiter disciplines.

Locals and visitors can check out other Gold Coast Events here.
